目標
・Be able to read and discuss newspaper/magazine articles on topics such as editorials, sports, movie reviews, culture, recreation/leisure, and pieces of domestic and international events/news of the week.
講義概要
This course deals with reading and discussing of newspaper or magazine articles, which are chosen by the class each week. Vocabularies, expressions, idioms, and cultural/national backgrounds necessary to understand the readings will be explained. Giving comments, and discussion lead to active classroom atmosphere.

講師紹介
- John Aguinaldo
- 元昭和薬科大学・元昭和大学講師
- アメリカ出身、1951年生まれ。サンノゼ州立大学卒業。現在、エクステンションセンターのほか昭和薬科大学、防衛大学校、外務省研修所、防衛省などで英語を教える。その他、昭和大学、東京慈恵会医科大学、農林水産省、農林水産研修センターや日本銀行神奈川支店などでも教鞭を執る。また、住友電工、清水建設、キリンビール研究所、NTTでの企業内研修や、朝日カルチャーセンターでの社会人指導、横須賀市と品川区の教育委員会授業なども行う。
